Hi Bart
Have just finished reading through your book. I usually read through things
so fast, but I made the decision to take this one slow and try to take on
as much of the advice as I could.
After finishing reading it I can tell that its going to make a difference
in my life. I've just had one of the worst months of my life. I lost my girlfriend
of three years, had my car and hundreds of pounds of posessions stolen. My
insurance premiums on the car are going to hit the roof because of it and
to top it all off my account has reached the limit of my overdraft. I'm in
a new city with no friends. I moved down here to be with my girlfriend as
we both went to college. Before speaking to you my life was in a bad downward
spiral. I was very unhappy. After talking to you and using some of your techniques
I managed to cheer up a little and get a more positive outlook in life, but
I was still unhappy.
So I decided to buy your book "The Success Secrets of the Rich and Happy".
I can't honestly say that I have managed to implement everything it has to
offer. There are some excercises that I haven't been able to use yet as I
haven't been able to schedule the time to do them this week. But they're on
my Healthy Habits list for next week, and I fully intend to start using them.
Without even using these excercises though, I have already had such a positive
benefit in my life. Just to read the sections covering happiness and to utilise
your advice in them has made SUCH a difference already. I made the decision
that I was going to be in control of my emotional state and I was in control
of my own happiness. THE FIRST DAY that I followed your advice in your book
I went out to do some errands and I was in the Best mood I have been in for
years. I was literaly bursting with happiness. And that happiness gave me
a lot of confidence that day. I did something that I usually find hard to
do. I was flirting outrageously with the hairdresser cutting my hair and the
her collegue sitting working next to me. Was the best time I've ever had getting
my hair cut and I made some new friends. After getting my hair cut I went
to get some juice and I was minding my own business, whistling happily in
my own little world. The lady serving me started hitting on me because I was
so happy that day. She approached me and started talking to me without me
even trying anything on her.
WOW, what a difference a change in attitude can make!!
And it didn't last for one day, the very next day I had the same effect. Its
the end of that day now and I've had another great day. And again I had a
woman flirting with me and taking interest in me! That has hardly ever happened
before in my LIFE!
And the only change I have made is to decide that I'm in control of my happiness.
That one thing has made a major difference in my life and its all down to
you. After using ONE piece of your advice I have already had the most amazing
benefit.
